Season opens June 11.Race car enthusiasts annually enjoy this action packed summer series.
Greenfield Dragway works with the Atlantic Drag Racing Association to run the series of points races and drag racing events. Attracts upwards 250 participants and 1250 spectators per event.

Memorial Auto Show
Liverpool
Saturday August 20, 2022. This annual mid August event takes place in Privateer Park on the Liverpool waterfront. This Auto Show attracts upwards 400+ vehicles yearly and thousands of spectators. Food, fun, and fast cars, vehicles of all sorts can be found!

Hot on the Ice
Women's Hockey Tournament
This annual May event has taken place at QPEC since 2013. Organized by Liverpool Lady Cougars this event has grown to a dozen teams over the years.

Liverpool International Theatre Festival
October 13-16, 2022. This acclaimed bi-annual amateur theatre competition has been held at the historic Astor Theatre since 1992 in Liverpool. Attracts acts from across the world and fans far and wide. An experience you should not miss! Executed by a passionate and volunteer base.

#ROCKtheMersey 2022 Privateer Waterfront Park. Celebrated annually in communities across Queens such as Liverpool, Milton and Caledonia. July 1 features music and family fun and selected locations for Fireworks. Executed by amazing local volunteers.

National Women's Hockey Team Fall Fest - Hockey Canada
Held September 10-14, 2019 this was the opening training camp for Team Canada Women on their journey to the subsequently postponed World Women's Hockey Championship in Halifax/Truro April 2020.

World Junior Curling Championships - World Curling Federation
February 16-23, 2019 Liverpool, at Queens Place Emera Centre played host to 140 world class junior curlers, 20 teams, representing 13 countries and hundreds of curling enthusiasts, over 8 days of competition with Team Canada Tardi and Team Russia Rumiantseva each claiming Gold. Event executed by 150 volunteers of the Liverpool Championship Host Society.

Skate NS StarSkate Provincial Figure Skating Championship
Held February 28 through March 1, 2015 this Skate NS event is one of many hosted over the years by the local club Queens County Blades.

Privateer 5 Mile Road Race

A Run Nova Scotia Series event held late June, hosted by Active Living Options Society ,takes in a scenic river route Liverpool to Milton along the Mersey River. A loop, flat & fast. Approx.150 participants yearly . Event is held during Privateer Days. NA for 2022.

World Women's Hockey Championship Pre-Camp Team Hungary
Liverpool had been chosen to host Hungary's National Women's Hockey Team for a camp and pre World Championship exhibition games. Cancelled due to the pandemic March 2020.

Canadian Junior Curling Championships
Curling Canada
January 18-26, 2014 Liverpool Curling Club and Queens Place Emera Centre played host to 28 Canadian Junior Curling teams vying for championship status. Alberta took the women's title defeating BC gaining championship game status by defeating NS Mary Fay and Manitoba took the men's crown defeating NB.

Atlantic Synchro Skating Championship

January 2018 approximately 250 figure skaters from across Atlantic Canada descended upon Queens Place. Host Queens County Blades.

September 2015 the Privateers took to the ice at QPEC. Playoff bound and a Fred Fox Division Championship later they continue to thrill fans young and old, locally and regionally. Best drawing team in NSJHL! Host of the DJCUP in April 2023.

Mainstream Wrestling hosted by
Queens Place Emera Centre
April 2013 Mainstream Wrestling Entertainment wowed a large crowd at Queens Place for the first wrestling event held at QPEC. Followed in 2015 by a UCW in June 2014.

World Junior A Hockey Challenge Games

Liverpool hosted games in association with the Challenge based in Yarmouth. A consolation game on November, 2013 Canada East 7 vs. Czechs 9 and an exhibition game November 2012 Czechs 9 vs. Junior A Lumberjacks 2.

Maritime Broomball Championship

April 2017,15 Maritime broomball teams descended upon QPEC to determine a champion. Marked second time Liverpool hosted at QPEC.

Run Nova Scotia Series
Hosted annually in April, hosted by Active Living Options Society since 2014, this event, starts and ends at Queens Place, acts is the early season opener for the Run Nova Scotia Series. 250 + participants yearly.

Winds of Change Dramatic Society
Performance Highlights
The Winds of Change is long-standing dramatic society in Queens County. The society is volunteer based and has put on many world class performances such as Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Sound of Music, The King and I, and Les Miserables. The Winds of Change not only supports actors but also new local playwrights, directors, and producers.

Canadian AXE Throwing Championships
Held August 2018 & 2019 hosted in partnership by RQM and North Nova Lumberjack Society this multi day event attracted hundreds to Privateer Park on the waterfront. Competitors from around the world attended.
